Training at a Glance
Total Training Hours: 300 hours
Format: 8 training weekends plus a 5-day intensive Ashram retreat

Free membership at Northern Light Yoga during the training, allowing them to attend regular classes and deepen their personal practice
Certification: KRI Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training Level 1, internationally recognized and eligible for Yoga Alliance registration

Ashram Retreat
The Ashram module takes place in a retreat setting in nature outside Oslo.
Accommodation and meals are not included in the training price and require an additional fee.
Practice Immersion
During the training, participants receive free membership at Northern Light Yoga, allowing them to attend regular classes and deepen their personal practice.
Community & Learning Environment
The training unfolds within a supportive learning community (Sangat) where participants practice, study, and grow together. Many students build lasting friendships and professional connections through the training.
Language
The training is taught in English and/or Norwegian, depending on the group.
The training manuals and core literature are in English, but home assignments may be submitted in Norwegian.

44,000 NOK – payable in four installments
39,600 NOK – when the full amount is paid upon registration
Early Bird: Additional 10% discount for registrations completed before May 30.

Training Materials & Study Resources
Participants receive two training manuals:
Theory Manual – philosophy, concepts, and teaching methodology
Practice Manual – kriyas, meditations, and practical teaching material
In addition, students receive a recommended literature list including classical yoga texts, contemporary books, and scientific research articles related to yoga, meditation, and neuroscience.
We also recommend online lectures, study resources, and research materials to support deeper study throughout the training.
Participants have access to the Northern Light Yoga study library during the training.
Who This Training Is For
This program is open to:
Aspiring yoga teachers who wish to teach Kundalini Yoga professionally
Practitioners who want to deepen their personal practice and understanding of yoga
Previous experience with yoga is helpful but not required.
Certification Requirements
To receive certification, participants must:
Attend at least 90% of the training
Not miss more than one full training day
Complete assignments, teaching practice, and the final examination
If a module is missed, it can be retaken in the following year’s training.
Up to 50% of the training may be attended online if necessary.

Detailed Curriculum
A Path of Practice, Transformation, and Teaching
This training is a journey into the depth of Kundalini Yoga as a science of self-awareness and transformation. Through practice, philosophy, and direct experience, students develop a strong personal foundation and the confidence to guide others.
The program unfolds in three phases, guiding participants from personal practice toward the identity and responsibility of a yoga teacher.
Phase 1 — Foundations of Kundalini Yoga

Module 1 – Foundations

Introduction to the tradition and foundations of yoga.

What is Kundalini Yoga and how it differs from other yoga styles

The role and identity of the teacher
The Golden Chain and Adi Mantra
Class structure and the basic elements of leading a Kundalini Yoga practice

Module 2 – The Golden Link
